Breathtaking KCoHAS Health Week Celebration - Part 1

Klintaps College of Health and Allied Sciences kicked off its annual Health Week celebrations under the theme "Ensuring Good Health and Well-being for All: Your Diet is Your Health," a week-long initiative promoting health and wellness among students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community.
Day 1 featured a community clean-up initiative in the Klagon township, with students and staff from all departments contributing to the beautification and well-being of their community. In the evening, festivities continued with a vibrant bonfire gathering at the Klagon TWMA school park.

Day 2 continued with a vibrant Health Walk through the streets of Klagon and Lashibi, showcasing the college to the local community while promoting an active lifestyle.

The Symposium on Nutrition and Health, chaired by Prof. Paul Amuna, featured speakers including Mrs. Pamela Achiaa Addae on diet-related diseases, Dr. Jimmy Frimpong on nutrition and eye health, Mr. Francis Nyasem on diet and allergies, Professor Richard K. D. Ephraim on food poisoning prevention, Ms. Mary Magdalene Effah Ayaw on sickle cell nutrition, and Mr. Alhaji Swallah Suraka on diet and body image.

The Inter-Departmental Quiz saw the Department of Medical Laboratory Science take 1st place with 70.5 points, followed by Medical Imaging (Radiography) with 59.75 points, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, and Community Nutrition and Dietetics.
The celebrations continued with a thrilling cooking competition where teams from various departments battled it out, with the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences emerging victorious. Students also dressed in their senior high school uniforms, representing their alma maters with pride.
