Breathtaking Celebrations at KCoHAS (Health Week) - Part 2

The Klintaps College Health Week celebrations continued with an unforgettable adventure to the Eastern and Volta regions. Students and faculty embarked on the "Aportii Fun Trip," visiting the majestic Adomi Bridge, the Tafe Atome Monkey Sanctuary, climbing Mount Afadja (the highest mountain in Ghana), and swimming at the Wli Agumatsa waterfalls.

The college concluded its Health Week with a community health screening event providing free medical services to residents of Klagon, Lashibi, and surrounding areas. Services included testing for malaria, syphilis, typhoid, hepatitis B, blood group testing, hemoglobin levels, eye exams, ultrasound scans, X-rays, and BMI assessment, along with counseling sessions.

The Grand Durbar was held under the theme "Good Health and Well-being for All," with key figures including Professor Harold S. Amonoo-Kuofi (Chairman of the Governing Council), Professor Paul Amuna (Chairman for the Occasion), Faustina Excel Adipa (Minister of Health Representative), and Farouq Alhassan (AHPC Representative).
Professor Amonoo-Kuofi highlighted that KCoHAS has graduated over 400 students since 2018, with over 70% being self-employed health professionals. The college is committed to introducing postgraduate programs and expanding its offerings.

Klintaps College also hosted a glamorous dinner night, "Memoria in lumine luna," to honour outstanding student achievements. Awards were presented for Best Student, Best Dancer, Graphic Designer of the Year, Most Photogenic, FACE OF KCOHAS, Best Pals, Best Footballer, Best Club/Association, Most Versatile Student, and Best Course Rep.

The Health Week was a resounding success, achieving its goal of promoting health and wellness within the college community and beyond, providing valuable opportunities for students to learn, engage in community outreach, and have fun.
