Entry requirements
Five routes into medicine
WASSCE
Strong science grades — extremely competitive
- Passes in six subjects: three core + three science electives
- Core: C4 or better in Mathematics, English Language and Integrated Science
- Electives: passes in any three of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Elective Mathematics
- Selection is extremely competitive — the strongest applicants considerably exceed the national minimum requirements
SSSCE
Strong science grades — extremely competitive
- Passes in six subjects, with the three core subjects and three science electives
- Selection is extremely competitive across all examination routes
GCE A-Level
Three A-Level science passes
- Five O-Level credits including English and Mathematics
- Three A-Level passes: Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics, and Biology or Agricultural Science
- A pass (grade E or better) in General Paper
International qualifications
IB, IGCSE, SAT and other recognised examinations
- IB: strong Higher Level grades in three relevant science subjects, plus English and Mathematics at Standard Level
- IGCSE/A-Level track: five O-Level credit passes including English and Mathematics, plus three A-Level passes in the sciences
- SAT I and SAT II (subject tests in the sciences), and other recognised international examinations
- Qualification equivalence is determined by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC)
Degree / HND holders
Graduate entry — strong CGPA
- BSc in a related health or science field from a recognised university, with a strong CGPA — admitted to Level 100
- HND in a related field with a strong CGPA — admitted to Level 100
- All graduate applicants must show prerequisite passes in Chemistry, Biology, and Physics or Elective Mathematics
Admission to the MBChB is extremely competitive: meeting the national minimum requirements does not guarantee an interview, and successful applicants typically far exceed them. All applicants attend a selection interview. International applicants: qualification equivalence is determined by GTEC, and evidence of English proficiency is required from non-English-speaking countries.

Up to 50% off tuition for early bird admissions
Early bird awards of up to 50% off tuition are decided case-by-case and confirmed with your admission letter — for admissions completed by August 31, 2026.
- Instalment payment plans are available through the admissions office.
- Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) support is available to qualifying Ghanaian students.
- Fees cover tuition; student housing (see the housing options) and the laptop programme are arranged separately.

Hostel accommodation is on campus and nearby, with priority for first-year and international students.
How to apply
Apply online
Complete the online application form, indicating MBChB — Medicine (KSMS) as your programme. It takes about ten minutes; have your results (or index number, if awaiting results) ready.
Selection interview
Shortlisted applicants are invited to a selection interview with the admissions panel.
Admission & enrolment
Successful applicants receive an admission letter with enrolment steps, fee schedule and the September start date.
