International Day of the Boy Child at Klagon TWMA Basic School

Klintaps College of Health and Allied Sciences visited Klagon Tema West M/A School on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, to commemorate World Day of the Boy Child 2023, an event celebrating young boys' potential and significance in society.
The celebration featured activities designed to instill pride in the boys' identities and potential, with the program emphasizing gender equality, health and well-being, education importance, and career exploration in healthcare.
Dr. Maurice Gorleku, Vice President of Klintaps College, stated: "We wanted the boys to understand that they have the power to shape their futures. Education is the key to opening up a world of opportunities."

Students participated in interactive career exploration sessions, connecting with experts from different disciplines and learning about various healthcare and other professions.
Student Kweku Osei shared: "The events let me understand that I can be anything I want to be. I used to believe some professions were only for women." Student Jeremiah Tetteh noted: "Boys and girls are equal and should encourage each other."
Teachers from Klagon TWMA expressed gratitude for the transformative event. The Head Prefect reflected: "I learned that I should never give up on my dreams. I aspire to be a doctor to serve my community."
