Message from the Director of Research

At Klintaps University College of Health and Allied Sciences (KCoHAS), we are committed to advancing knowledge and driving innovation in the fields of health and allied sciences. The Directorate of Research is proud to lead a dynamic and growing research community that is dedicated to addressing pressing health challenges through evidence-based inquiry and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Through rigorous scientific inquiry, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a commitment to translational research, we aim to generate evidence-based solutions that inform clinical practice, influence policy, and empower communities.

We foster a vibrant research culture that supports our students, faculty, and partners in pursuing excellence. To increase research output among faculty members, the Directorate has inaugurated a Manuscript Committee comprising five (5) teams. Each team is tasked with:

  • Develop publication-ready research topics
  • Identify peer-reviewed journals with trusted indexing and high impact factor
  • Assist students with well-structured dissertations for publication
Ethical Review Committee (ERC)

The KCOHAS ERC safeguards the dignity, rights, safety, and well-being of all research participants by providing independent, competent, and timely review of proposed studies.

  • Review biomedical research ethics
  • Ensure participant protection and dignity
  • Regular evaluation of ongoing studies

Ethical Clearance Application

The process for acquiring KCoHAS Ethical Clearance.

Submit an introduction letter from your school or organisation to the General Office, Administration, KCoHAS.

Pay appropriate fees for Normal or Expedited Reviews (see fee schedule below).

Fill the KCoHAS Ethical Application Form, attach all relevant instruments, and submit by email.

For prospective studies: full proposal, questionnaire/interview guide, informed consent sheet. For retrospective: full proposal and data extraction form.
