5th Congregation: Klintaps Celebrates Its Largest Graduating Class with Justice Atuguba as Guest Speaker

On Thursday, 17 April 2026, Klintaps University College of Health and Allied Sciences held its 5th Congregation — a milestone graduation ceremony that brought together graduates, faculty, families, and distinguished guests from across the health and judicial sectors.
The event was graced by Justice William Anaam Atuguba, RTD. Supreme Court Judge of the Republic of Ghana, who served as Guest Speaker. He was joined by Professor Philip Narteh Gorleku, Founder and President of Klintaps University College, Major General William Omane Agyekum (Rtd.), Chairman of the KCoHAS Governing Council, and Mr. Douglas Frimpong-Nnuroh, Registrar of the institution.

In his address, Justice Atuguba urged the graduating class to combine technical excellence with personal integrity, reminding them that the credibility of Ghana's healthcare system rests in part on the character of those who staff it. His remarks resonated through the auditorium as graduates rose in their navy gowns and kente stoles to receive their certificates.
Professor Philip Narteh Gorleku used the occasion to chart the next phase of Klintaps' growth, pointing to the introduction of the Maiden White Coat Ceremony as a new clinical-induction tradition and the continued expansion of postgraduate offerings. He thanked staff, council members, and the affiliated University of Cape Coast for the partnership that makes the Klintaps degree possible.
The 5th Congregation also celebrated outstanding individual achievement. Richeal Frimpong was named Valedictorian and Overall Best Graduating Student of the cohort — a separate feature on her journey is published on this site.

For the families gathered at the campus in Klagon, Community 19, the day was a reminder of why Klintaps was founded in the first place: to expand the supply of competent, compassionate health and allied-science professionals into the Ghanaian system. With this congregation, the total number of graduates the institution has trained continues to grow into the high hundreds — a generation of sonographers, medical laboratory scientists, dietitians, public health practitioners, and radiographers entering hospitals and communities across the country.
Klintaps is now accepting applications for the 2026/2027 academic year. The institution offers fifteen undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across the allied health sciences, all accredited by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission and awarded by the University of Cape Coast.
Applications are open for the 2026/2027 academic year.
