Powerful 1st Semester In Review: Highlights from Klintaps College Of Health And Allied Sciences

College hosts Aerobics exercise.

The first semester at Klintaps College of Health and Allied Sciences was marked by a genuine spirit of collaboration and innovation, as students, faculty and staff came together to achieve academic excellence, creative goals and community engagement.

Here’s a sneak peak of what happened during the semester :

Matriculation Ceremony

On February 9th, 2024, the forecourt of KCoHAS buzzed with excitement as the matriculation ceremony welcomed new students to the academic community. The ceremony was marked with inspirational and motivational speeches from the school’s founder, president, Vice president and Registrar as well as the guest speakers. The school’s founder, Professor Philip Narteh Gorleku, highlighted the institution’s rich history and tradition of excellence, assuring the students that they were now part of a legacy that valued knowledge, character, and service. All the speakers inspired the students to chase their dreams, embrace failures as learning experiences, and make a positive impact on their communities.

Aerobic Exercise Session: Getting active and united

On the 6th day of March 2024, the students and faculty gathered at the school’s forecourt for an energising aerobic exercise session. The energetic instructor led the group through a series of dynamic stretches and movements, set to upbeat music that got everyone’s hearts pumping. The students laughed and sweated together, enjoying the fun and interactive way to break the ice and get to know one another. As they exercised, they felt their energy levels boost and their spirits lift, dropping the stress and setting a lively tone for the semester ahead. The aerobic exercise session was a great way to unite the students and faculty, promoting teamwork, wellness, and a sense of community.

Football League: Kick-off to a thrilling Tournament

The School Representative Council (SRC) of KCoHAS organised a thrilling football league for the students, which kicked off with great enthusiasm and excitement. The league featured teams from different programmes and levels, all vying for the coveted championship title. The matches were played on the Klagon TMA School football field, with students cheering on their friends and coursemates. The atmosphere was not void of chants, drums, and whistles creating a lively atmosphere. Skilled players showcased their talents, while the newcomers discovered hidden strengths.
The league not only promoted healthy competition but also fostered teamwork, sportsmanship, and the school’s UBUNTU spirit.  In the end, the champions were crowned, but the true victory was an unforgettable experience and memories forged on and off the pitch.

SRC Elections and Swearing In: Choosing New Leaders for the 2024/2025 Academic Year

In the backdrop of a busy semester, elections were held for SRC positions. The floor was opened for nominations for the next administration of the Students Representative Council (SRC). Campus was filled with excitement as students vied for positions on the Student Representative Council (SRC). Contestants from various programmes and levels launched vibrant campaigns, showcasing their leadership skills and vision for the student body. Posters, banners, and social media posts flooded the campus, as candidates appealed to their peers to vote for them.

The campaigns were marked by enthusiasm, creativity, and friendly competition, as students rallied behind their favourite candidates. On election day, the student body flocked to the polling stations, eager to cast their votes and shape the future of the school community. The democratic process was a resounding success, as the newly elected SRC members were hailed as representatives of the student voice of KCoHAS. The new student leaders were later sworn in during a beautiful ceremony. As the ceremony concluded, the newly sworn-in SRC members beamed with pride, ready to embark on their journey as leaders and representatives of the student body. The event marked a new chapter in the school’s history, filled with promise and potential for growth, progress, academic, faculty  and student empowerment.
