Achiever’s Summit: Inspiring Event Held At Klintaps College Of Health And Allied Sciences

The Achievers Summit, held at Klintaps College Of Health and Allied Sciences by the Local NUGS and the SRC, brought together students and lecturers from across the campus, and from neighboring Senior High Schools for a day of inspiration, growth, and connection.

 The theme, “Inspiring Innovation, Cultivating Leadership, and Fostering Global Citizenship,” set the tone for a dynamic and thought-provoking event.

Students, staff and Faculty Members of the college, as well as Students and Staff of Lashibi Senior High School were present at the event.

The summit featured four distinguished speakers who shared their insights and experiences on innovation, leadership, and global citizenship. Through their stories and expertise, students gained valuable knowledge and perspectives on how to make a positive impact in their communities and the world at large.

Throughout the entire occasion, the speakers charged their audience to make a lasting impact on their societies and the global world as a whole, through fostering leadership, and cultivating global citizenship.

Cultivating Leaders

The host, Oppong Isaac Prince—Local Nugs President of the College, gave an opening speech, urging the audience to embrace the objectives to grow, learn, and be inspired.

Throughout the day, students engaged in interactive sessions, and discussions designed to cultivate leadership skills and inspire innovation. 

Dr. Maurice O. Gorleku, the Vice President of the college, gave a wonderful presentation on  “Innovation” to the audience, Leaving them with a quote “ Innovation is the difference between a leader and a follower”

He shared his experiences as well as his knowledge with the audience during the interactive Question and Answer session after his presentation.

These hands-on experiences empowered students to think creatively, develop problem-solving strategies, and embrace their potential as future leaders.

Fostering Global Citizenship

The event emphasised the importance of global citizenship, encouraging students to think beyond borders and embrace diversity, inclusivity, and social responsibility. By exploring global issues and perspectives, students gained a deeper understanding of their role in creating a more just and sustainable world.

Miss  Paulina Abrokwah, CEO of Tradelinks Logistics limited Company Gave a short and enticing speech on Global Citizenship

In her keynote speech,  Paulina Abrokwah emphasised the importance of global citizenship, giving advice to the audience on the advantages of being a global citizen.

She explained a global citizen as someone who is aware of and understands the wider world – and their place in it. taking an active role in their community and working with others to make our planet more peaceful, sustainable and fairer.

At the end of her speech, she urged her audience to be good global citizens and help contribute to the growth of the country and the world as a whole

Krah Ebenezer Dehar (NUGS Secretary for union development) gave a speech on behalf of Mr Kyeremeh O. Daniel President, National Union of Ghana Students. He highlighted the  importance of  Understanding Leadership, Knowing the importance of vision before making a decision, Building a good interpersonal relationship  and Empowering others.

Alvin Otchere (Presenter, Multimedia Ghana, Nugs TV and radio), also spoke about “Reducing yourself to the power of productivity” He placed emphasis on “Upholding to your pride and value”

A Call to Action

“ A luta continua; victoria e certa”….. “the struggle continues, victory is certain”

As students left the summit, they were challenged to apply the lessons learned and insights gained to make a positive difference in their own lives and the lives of others. 

The Achievers Summit served as a powerful reminder that every individual has the potential to shape the future and create lasting impact.
