Marking Significant Milestones: Amazing 3rd Graduation Ceremony at Klintaps College of Health and Allied Sciences

On June 1, 2024, Klintaps College of Health and Allied Sciences (KCoHAS)  proudly witnessed its 3rd graduation ceremony, marking a significant milestone in the lives of 193 graduates. 

The event was graced by esteemed guests, including  Professor Philip Narteh Gorleku (Founder, KCoHAS), Professor Yaw Adu-Sarkodie, the Guest Speaker of the ceremony; Professor Harold Amonoo-Kuofi (President, KCoHAS); Major General William Omane Agyekum Rtd.(Council Chair, KCoHAS); Mr. Douglas Frimpong-Nnuroh, the Registrar and other important dignitaries and board members of the College.

The graduands, the staff and students of the college as well as the well-wishers of the graduates, sat at the forecourt of the college for the ceremony.

Professor Yaw Adu-Sarkodie (Professor in Clinical Microbiology, College of Health Sciences) the Guest Speaker, emphasised the importance of excellence, integrity, and service to humanity in the graduands’ future careers. He encouraged them to make a positive impact and strive to be the best version of themselves always.

Mr. Douglas Frimpong-Nnuroh, Registrar of the College, congratulated the graduates and reminded them that they are ambassadors of Klintaps College of Health and Allied Sciences, wishing them success in their future endeavours.

The event showcased the rich cultural heritage of the college through vibrant cultural dancing, highlighting the diversity and talent of the student body.

Professor Philip Narteh Gorleku, Founder, expressed pride in the graduates’ achievement, urging them to uphold the College’s values of excellence, innovation, and service as they go forth.

Number of Graduands

At the ceremony, the Registrar of the College introduced the graduates who were graduating with bachelor of science degrees in Radiography, Sonography and Medical Laboratory Science. The breakdown of the 193 graduands in the three academic programmes was as follows:

Bachelor Of Science In Medical Imaging Science-36 Graduands

Bachelor Of Science In Diagnostic Medical Sonography-115 Graduands

Bachelor Of Science In Medical Laboratory Science-42 Graduands

The distribution according to sex of the 193 graduands is one hundred and thirteen (113) males, and eighty (80) females. 

In addition to the one hundred and seventy-seven (177) graduates of the following years since 2021, Klintaps has trained a total of three hundred and seventy (370) healthcare professionals.

This is a significant contribution from Klintaps College of Health and Allied Sciences to the training of healthcare professionals in the country, beefing up the labour force of the allied health professionals in Ghana

KCoHAS is continuously contributing to national human resource development in allied health professions education, and we can only keep improving with the successful conclusion of each academic year.

Major General William Omane Agyekum Rtd. (Council Chair, Klintaps College of Health and Allied Sciences) encouraged the graduates to be leaders, innovators, and change-makers, positively impacting society.

The ceremony celebrated the Best Graduating Students, whose achievements and dedication have set a high standard for future cohorts. The atmosphere was filled with pride, joy, and a sense of accomplishment as graduates received their well-deserved awards and certificates.
